Part 1

Muku: Yuki-kun, thanks for coming with me to the bookstore.

Yuki: No problem.

Muku: I saw an advertisement for this shoujo manga last night on social media, and I wanted to read it no matter what....

Yuki: It’s fine. I got to browse the magazines, so it all works out.

Yuki: By the way, that means you sometimes buy manga based off of advertisements, right?

Muku: Yeah. Recently, there have been a lot of webcomics released online and on social media that are getting printed versions....

Muku: Of course, there are still a lot of manga that I don’t follow or haven’t heard of before.

Yuki: Yeah, there’s definitely been a lot of them recently.

Muku: Oh, speaking of which, have you decided on a place to showcase for your Veludo Town Hotspots video?

Yuki: Not yet. You?

Muku: Me neither. There’s a lot of popular places so I can’t decide.

Yuki: We should decide quickly so we can film it.

Muku: Yeah.

Muku: Haah.... This manga was so good....

Kumon: That good?

Muku: Mhmm, it’s so good that I’m looking forward to what will happen next!

Tsumugi: What kind of story is it?

Muku: It’s a love story about two childhood friends of different ages that got separated.

Masumi: Which one is older?

Muku: The heroine.

Masumi: Lend it to me. I wanna read it.1

Muku: Of course! Here.

Masumi: Thanks. I’ll use this as reference.

Tsumugi: Haha, that’s Masumi-kun as always.

Kumon: A story about getting separated sounds kinda sad.

Muku: From the first book, it already gave the feeling that it was going to be sad.

Muku: Ah, speaking of which.... This manga mentioned a place in Veludo Town that’s not a theater.

Masumi: This manga...?

Tsumugi: Really?

Muku: Yes. Tsumugi-san, do you know about the Tunnel of Hearts?

Tsumugi: I’ve heard of it, but I’ve never been there before.

Kumon: I think that’s in the Veludo Town Park!

Masumi: It’s famous for love charms.2

Tsumugi: It seems Masumi-kun also knows about it.

Masumi: Of course.

Muku: Actually, in the first book of this manga there’s a scene where the two childhood friends went to the Tunnel of Hearts when they were little and did a love charm!

Kumon: So that park is a holy land for that manga?!

Tsumugi: You must be very happy that such a nearby location appeared in a manga you like.

Muku: Yes, I was really happy!

Tsumugi: However, I had no idea that the Tunnel of Hearts was famous for love charms.

Masumi: It’s a famous love charm among students, so it’s not strange that you haven’t heard about it.

Kumon: Yeah yeah! If it’s popular among students, then Tsumugi-san definitely wouldn’t know!

Tsumugi: Ahaha, thanks, you two.3

Muku: The love charm is quite difficult and the success rate is pretty low anyway, so there might be a lot of people who don’t know about it....

Masumi: I also did it with her, but it was unsuccessful... it’s difficult to finish the charm in time.

Tsumugi: Ah, Masumi-kun’s also done it.

Kumon: Don’t worry about it, Masumi-san!

Muku: (Since the Tunnel of Hearts is so cute, there’s probably a lot of people who go there for dates....)

Muku: (...But it’s deep in the park, so maybe there’s a lot of people who don’t know a lot about it, like Tsumugi-san...?)

Part 2

Muku: Yuki-kun, thanks for agreeing to film today.

Yuki: No problem. It’s a very Muku-like place for you to pick.

Muku: Ehehe, really? Even though it’s such a beautiful place it seems like it’s quite unknown, so I wanted to showcase it.

Yuki: I don’t think there’s anyone who would showcase this place besides you, so it fits.

Muku: Thank you! To hear that from you is really reassuring. So, let’s get started.

Yuki: Got it.

Muku: Hi everyone, this is MANKAI Company’s Sakisaka Muku of Summer Troupe.

Muku: And recording me is....

Yuki: Rurikawa Yuki, of the same troupe. Pleased to be working with you.

Muku: Pleased to be working with you too, Yuki-kun!

Muku: Today, I’ll be showcasing a hidden gem later on, so I hope you’ll enjoy!

Muku: The place I’m showing is Veludo Town Park.

Muku: It’s really refreshing here, and it has a leisurely and relaxing atmosphere.

Yuki: Definitely. We’re surrounded by nature, and it’s pretty quiet.

Muku: That’s right. Also, there’s a place we recommend for people in love: the Tunnel of Hearts!

Yuki: Ooh, why is that?

Muku: It’s said that the Tunnel of Hearts is a place where love charms can be successful and wishes can be answered.

Muku: People who have successfully completed the love charm have reported things like love being returned, sudden heart-throbbing things happening to them...

Muku: It seems like it’s really effective!

Yuki: It’s effective just like that? Amazing. So, what kind of love charm is it?

Muku: Well, there are a lot of methods, and you have to complete it within a certain amount of time, so it’s quite complicated.

Muku: Like one of my friends has done it before, but it seems they were unable to finish it within the time limit.

Yuki: That’s pretty hard....

Muku: Yeah, it would take a long time to describe all the details, so I can’t explain it all now....

Muku: If you’re interested, you can search “Tunnel of Hearts” on social media and look it up.

Yuki: The Tunnel of Hearts is scenic enough that you could probably just skip out on the love charm.

Muku: Yup, it’s cute so it’s perfect for a date!

Muku: You can also come with friends and walk through the tunnels or have fun taking pictures, so everyone please come and check it out.

Yuki: Good work, Muku.

Muku: You too. Thank you for filming.

Muku: Hey, Yuki-kun. Can we take a photo here?

Yuki: A photo? Sure, that’s fine.

Muku: Great! Let’s take it then.

Muku: Here’s the video... then after, the candid shot....

Muku: (Which one should I use.... It’s kind of embarrassing if I upload this picture myself....)

Yuki: Did you post it?

Muku: I’m still worried about the candid shot....

Yuki: It looks fine to me.

Muku: Ah, really?

Yuki: Your fans will be happy, won’t they?

Muku: Well, I guess I’ll go with this then. ...Alright, posted.

Muku: I’m worried it won’t upload properly, so I’m going to check it.

Yuki: I wanna see.

Muku: “That’s right. Also, there’s a place we recommend for people in love: the Tunnel of Hearts!”

Yuki: “Ooh, why is that?”

Muku: It’s said that the Tunnel of Hearts is a place where love charms can be successful...”

Muku: “...and wishes can be answered.

Muku: “People who have successfully completed the love charm have reported things like love being returned...”

Muku: “...sudden heart-throbbing things happening to them....”

Muku: “It seems like it’s really effective!”

Yuki: Hey, seems pretty good.

Muku: It’s all thanks to you.

Yuki: I just filmed it. It turned out well because you worked hard.

Muku: No, it was because you chat with me often in our free time that I was able to speak easily.

Yuki: Hmm. Well, if that’s the case, then I’m glad.

Muku: Oh, right. Is it okay if I post the picture we took at the Tunnel of Hearts on Inste?

Yuki: That’s fine. If you’re gonna post it, I’ll post it, too.

Muku: You will? Great! We can upload it together!4

1 Good lord, Masumi (affectionate) [↑]
2 From what I can tell, “love charms” are spells or rituals that you can do that will make someone like you back. It’s stuff like “send yourself an email with the word ‘panda’ written nine times and you’ll be seated next to your crush in class” or “trace their name onto your pillow with your finger, kiss it, and then sleep.” [↑]
3 Yes, Kumon and Masumi just called Tsumugi old lmfao [↑]
4 I’m so mentally ill about them [↑]
